Fauquier Education Farm

Fauquier Education Farm.jpg

We were created in 2010 to develop a program of agricultural education and grow fresh produce for lower income residents. We serve as a laboratory to pilot new techniques as well as to provide continuing agricultural education to interested citizens. Our programs are conducted to serve existing farmers, beginning farmers, students, and residents of the community. This education component has included: 1) The Beginning Farmer program; 2) Agricultural best practices; 3) Workshop Series and, 4) Field trips for school classes and other groups. Fresh produce grown on the Farm is distributed to local food banks for those in need. In 2017 over 60,000 pounds of produce was grown and distributed. Crops planned for the coming year include: squash, watermelon, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, cantaloupe, potatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, sweet potatoes, eggplant and tomatoes. Help us support our community.
