Toys For Tots

Each year Toys For Tots provides Christmas gifts to more than 1,000 children in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. Most of these children never know the gifts come from Toys For Tots but they know that their parents love them enough to make Christmas special. Those that do find out where the gifts came from know that everyone in our counties care about them.
We have many volunteers who are mainly school-aged children learning that just a few hours of their time annually can make a tremendous difference to those less fortunate than themselves. We put our young volunteers into leadership roles and let them supervise other volunteers and manage the sorting and bagging activities. When our volunteers move on to paying jobs and college, we encourage them to add these skills to their resumes, college and scholarship applications.
