We offer a wild array of activities and events, partner with local organizations, and award financial grants. We present first-run and critically acclaimed movies at the Little Washington Theatre on the first Friday of most months, and documentary films followed by expert commentary in an occasional film series. Our "Second Friday at the Library" series features writers and experts from around the region talking about topics of interest. Local thespians perform in our community theatre plays. Recent performances include: Annie, The Twelve Days of Christmas, The Odd Couple, Alice in Wonderland, and Uncle Vanya. For over a decade, we have sponsored the annual Artists of Rappahannock Studio and Gallery Tour the first weekend in November. The profits from these programs are returned to the community in the form of grants from the Claudia Mitchell Fund. Last year, RAAC gave more than $40,000 to promising artists, writers, musicians and other creative individuals and groups in the community. Help us enrich the lives of all Rappahannock residents through participation and exposure to the arts.
